Professional Submissive?
August 12, 2009
I know I shouldn’t be shocked at what goes on out there in the world, but sometimes I just can’t help it.
Whilst perusing a site yesterday, I came across a posting for a “professional submissive.”
Okay, most of us have heard of a professional dominatrix. But a professional submissive?
So I’m wondering at the legalities of such a profession… would the police look at this as the same as prostitution? Even if (as this ad stated) no sex was involved?
And if it’s not illegal, can you legitimize it somehow? Imagine filling out tax forms for the IRS…

I think the dominant IRS agents would be fighting over who got to “audit” you.

Hmm… yes, those pesky IRS agents…

Why would this be so unusual? The first rule of business, *any* business, is “find a need and meet it.” If there are people in need of a Dom, but cannot for whatever reason include that person in every other part of their life, why can’t there also be people in the reverse circumstance?
I don’t see why it isn’t legal (it’s not as if Sub is another word for prostitute), unless someone’s taken the “we’re a nation of laws” notion far beyond what is necessary to protect people. In which case we’d all have become unpaid submissives.
